The Flag Awarding Ceremony of the 20th World Police and Fire Games in 2023
The World Police and Fire Games are organized with the aim of encouraging law enforcement officers to actively participate in various sports activities, thereby enhancing their operational capabilities and promoting international exchanges. The 20th edition of the Games will be held in Winnipeg, Canada, from July 28th to August 6th, 2023. Our country's delegation, composed of outstanding athletes selected by the National Police Agency and the Fire Agency under the Ministry of the Interior, will join nearly ten thousand police, fire, and customs personnel from over 50 countries worldwide to participate in various competitions.

The National Police Agency stated that the delegation, led by Deputy Director-General Chen Yong-li, consists of 22 police officers and 12 firefighters who will compete in events such as shooting, judo, track and field, weightlifting, badminton, and swimming. To ensure the athletes receive comprehensive sports care and training recovery, professional medical staff will accompany the team to provide sports protection services, enabling the athletes to perform at their best and strive for the highest honors.

The flag awarding ceremony of the 20th World Police and Fire Games was attended by Minister of the Interior Lin, who delivered a speech and presented the flag. His presence inspired the athletes and instilled confidence that our delegation will demonstrate team spirit, devote full efforts to various competitions, achieve excellent results, and concurrently engage in diplomatic efforts to enhance the visibility on the international stage.
