Fighting Crime and Protecting Our Home: Police Engage in Beach Cleanup Charity Event
While combatting crime and maintaining social order, the police force also demonstrates their commitment to environmental protection and the love for our home. On the morning of June 8th, the National Police Agency, together with the ASE Environmental Protection and Sustainability Foundation, held the "2023 ASE Ocean Day" beach cleanup charity event at Fulong Beach. More than 500 police officers, civil defense volunteers, and enthusiastic members of the public rolled up their sleeves and actively participated in this public welfare initiative to protect the environment and cherish our homeland.

Mr. WANG, TU-TSUN, Executive Director of the ASE Environmental Protection and Sustainability Foundation, stated that the foundation aims to promote a balance between environmental protection and economic development. Their mission is to enhance environmental sustainability, reduce environmental impact, and contribute to activities related to environmental protection, energy conservation, carbon reduction, circular economy, and natural ecology. In response to the United Nations' World Oceans Day on June 8th, this event pays tribute to the oceans, which are essential for human survival, and showcases ASE Group's commitment to caring for the marine environment.

Director-General Huang Ming Zhao of the National Police Agency emphasized that the concept of protecting the environment and cherishing our home aligns with the police force's mission of maintaining public security. It is through safeguarding both the environment and public safety that we can ensure future generations to enjoy a beautiful environment.

The National Police Agency has always been devoted to responding to and participating in public welfare activities, constantly striving to improve the quality of service to the public and letting people feel the warmth of the police force. Therefore, the collaboration with the ASE Environmental Protection and Sustainability Foundation for this beach cleanup event aims to raise awareness that whether it's corporations, government agencies, or the police, we all share the responsibility of protecting the environment in the land we live on. It requires continuous effort and dedication for us to enjoy a happy and secure living environment.
