NPA Offers Healthy Working Environment and Professional Resources for Counseling Services
In recent years, the National Police Agency(NPA) has increased its budget for psychological counseling to NT$5 million annually and expanded its cooperation with external psychological institutions, increasing the number from 91 in 2024 to 182 in 2025. In addition, police agencies have hired a total of 246 psychologists and psychiatrists as "Psychological Counseling Committee Members" to provide mental and physical health counseling services. A "National Police Psychological Counseling Hotline" has also been established to assist officers in maintaining their mental health through diverse counseling channels.

In addition, the NPA has optimized its employee assistance program, integrating five aspects: psychological counseling, legal aid, financial advice, health care, and childcare support. It has established a "Workplace Violence Protection Mechanism" to prevent from bullying, implement strict confidentiality agreements and independent consultation spaces, eliminate privacy concerns, and create a positive, trusting, respectful and mutually supportive organizational culture to ensure that officers can perform their professional duties in a safe and friendly environment.

The NPA emphasized that every officer is a valuable asset. In the future, it will uphold the principles of "privacy first, professional consultation, and comprehensive care," continuously improve the psychological counseling system, and promote psychological counseling resources to all officers. NPA will be the strongest support for police officers so that officers can have both mental and physical health while protecting social order.
