During the Lunar New Year holiday, the streets may be crowded with people traveling and visiting relatives. In order to make people’s activities smoother, the Ministry of the Interior (MOI) recommends downloading the Police Service APP. This app provides up to 40 services, including real-time traffic updates, inquiries about road conditions, towing violations, and speed-measuring device locations, or reporting frauds and other cases, calling taxis, and tracking taxi routes. Meanwhile, to address the increasing number of fraud cases, a new “Fraud Prevention Dashboard” feature has been added, offering the latest fraud trends and prevention information. The National Police Agency (NPA) encourages the public to download this APP, which serves as an essential daily tool.

The MOI would like to remind the public not to drive after drinking alcohol, and suggests that they make good use of the “Call a Taxi” function of the Police Service APP to ensure a safe trip home. Additionally, when traveling during the holiday, the “Listen to Police Broadcasting” feature in the APP helps users stay informed about real-time traffic conditions and avoid congested routes. The NPA would like to call on the public to remain alert if encountering any suspicious situations. The APP’s built-in “165 Anti-Fraud Hotline” can be used for verification. Other features such as the “Fraud Prevention Dashboard” and “Fraud Caller Ranking” can also be used for checking the latest fraud schemes.
