On November 4, 2024, the National Police Agency (NPA) held the 2024 Excellence Awards Ceremony for Outstanding Traffic Police Officers and Traffic Volunteer Police Officers, hosted by Chang Jung-Hsin, the Director-General of the NPA. This year, the national outstanding traffic police officers and traffic volunteer police officers were initially recommended by county (city) police departments, after which the NPA selected 78 Traffic Police Officers and 36 Traffic Volunteer Police Officers. The recipients were publicly commended for their sacrifices and outstanding performance in traffic enforcement.

In addition, to maintain the order and smooth flow of road traffic and to protect the lives and property of road users, the NPA is actively planning and implementing key traffic improvement measures. These include cracking down on major traffic violations, making rolling adjustments to reduce the likelihood of driver violations and prevent accidents, and carefully assessing and installing technological enforcement equipment at accident-prone road sections and intersections. These efforts aim to effectively reduce the occurrence of accidents and violations at critical locations.Through its traffic law enforcement efforts, the NPA has worked to improve traffic order, correct the behavior of road users, and encourage law-abiding actions. By actively combating DUI offenses, conducting thorough investigations, and strengthening inspections, all traffic police officers and volunteer traffic police officers have made significant sacrifices and put in tremendous effort. Despite working in challenging conditions, their dedication has played a key role in the success of these efforts.
