Chen Shih-Kai, the Minister of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC), visited the National Police Agency (NPA) on January 8, 2025, to express gratitude for police efforts in facilitating traffic law enforcement and accident control. Minister Chen emphasized that traffic safety is one of the government’s policy priorities. In the future, the MOTC will continue to strengthen cooperation with the NPA to promote various traffic safety measures and raise public awareness of road safety.

From January 20 to February 3, 2025, the NPA will implement the plan of strengthening social security for 2025 major holidays. It has instructed all police departments to ensure smooth traffic flow and accident prevention. During the Lunar New Year holiday, local police departments will develop strategies based on traffic conditions under their jurisdiction, make advance plan for highly-congested sections or places with heavy pedestrian and traffic, enhancing traffic guidance and management. Additionally, the Police Broadcasting Service will provide real-time traffic updates, allowing the public to experience the government's commitment to continuous service and a joyful New Year for all.
