The Flag Presentation Ceremony for the 21st World Police and Fire Games 2025 was held today (June 3) at 11:30 AM in the Grand Auditorium of the Zhongxiao Building at the National Police Agency. Minister of the Interior, Ms. Liu Shyh-fang, personally presided over the event, delivering a speech and presenting the flag. Her presence not only boosted the morale of the athletes but also encouraged the delegation to unite, support one another, and strive for outstanding achievements. At the same time, she emphasized the importance of diplomatic engagement to raise the international visibility of Taiwan's law enforcement organizations.

According to the National Police Agency, the purpose of the World Police and Fire Games is to encourage law enforcement personnel to actively participate in various physical and athletic activities, thereby enhancing their operational capabilities and promoting international exchange. The 21st World Police and Fire Games 2025 (hereinafter referred to as "this event") will be held from June 27 to July 6, 2025 (a total of 10 days) in Birmingham, Alabama, USA. Participants from Taiwan consist of police officers and firefighters from the National Police Agency and the National Fire Agency, who will join nearly 10,000 law enforcement personnel from more than 70 countries in various competitions.

The National Police Agency stated that the Taiwanese delegation will be led by Deputy Director-General Liao of the NPA and Senior Specialist Wu of the National Fire Agency, comprising 21 police officers and 39 firefighters. They will compete in events including Taekwondo, Judo, Ultimate Firefighter, and Shooting. To ensure comprehensive athletic care and recovery during training and competition, professional athletic trainers have been specially appointed to accompany the team, allowing the athletes to stay focused and perform at their best without concern—striving to bring honor to the nation.
