Deputy Minister Ma of the Ministry of the Interior Visits the Civil Defense Office of the National Police Agency to Inspect the Air Defense Alert Process
On the first day of the 2025 Urban Resilience (Air Defense) Exercise, Deputy Minister of the Interior, Ma Shih-Yuan, made a special visit to the Civil Defense Office of the National Police Agency to inspect the procedures for air defense information transmission and alarm dissemination. He also extended his appreciation to the on-duty crew for their hard work and to boost morale.

Deputy Minister Ma emphasized that the process of transmitting air defense information and issuing alerts is as crucial as the ancient beacon towers—any failure in communication could jeopardize national security. During the day’s drill, team members have completed the mission successfully and they deserve commendation.

He further stressed that air defense drills are vital to implement national defense education and enhance societal resilience. He expressed hope that regular practice will enable swift response and self-protection in extreme situations. He called on the public to stay vigilant and support the execution of the drills for national safety and social stability.
