You can write to the Director-General through the National Police Agency website. Please fill out the form with your basic information (including your name, mobile phone number, and city/county), your email address, the subject of your message, and the message content. To ensure the authenticity of your email, this mailbox system uses a dual authentication mechanism involving both "email address" and "mobile phone number". After entering your mobile phone number, please click "Send Verification Code", and accurately enter the SMS verification code sent by the system. Once the verification is complete, you may proceed to submit your message. If your message is successfully submitted, you will receive a reply from us. Thank you for contacting us.

In response to the amendments to Article 20 and Article 23 of the “Standards for a Unified Penalty System and Handling Regulations for Violations of Road Traffic Management,” those who report traffic violations by submitting evidence in accordance with Article 7-1 of the “Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act” are requested to click on the "Traffic" category. You will be redirected to the "Traffic Violation Reporting Section" of the respective police department's website. Please provide your real name and National Identification Number to facilitate the review process.

Mailbox Operating Procedure

If your system settings are correct, once you complete mobile phone verification and successfully submitted your message to the Director-General’s mailbox, you will receive an automated confirmation email very shortly, indicating that the system has received your message. Please make sure to click the confirmation link provided in the email within 5 days to verify that the message was sent by you. Only upon receiving this verification will your message be considered valid by the Agency. If you do not receive the confirmation email, it is possible that the email address you provided was incorrect. We recommend checking your email address and resending your message to the Director-General’s Mailbox. (See additional information if the confirmation email is not received.) If you are still unable to complete the verification within the time limit, please use the submission process to resend your message.

After your message is confirmed, we will send you an acknowledgment email confirming that your message has been received. During regular business hours, your message will be reviewed by our staff and forwarded to the appropriate department for processing. The acknowledgment email will include a case number and a password, which you can use to check the status of your case through the designated inquiry webpage. Once the relevant department has completed its response, you will receive a link to a satisfaction survey, where you can provide feedback on the handling of your case.

Regarding processing time, if your case involves a more complex investigation, it will be handled in accordance with the Executive Yuan’s Guidelines for Handling Petitions from the Public, which stipulate that the processing period shall not exceed 30 days. For cases that can be responded to immediately, a reply will be provided to the petitioner within 3 working days from the day following receipt of the case.

Additional Information: If You Do Not Receive the Confirmation Email

If you are unable to receive the confirmation email from the Director-General’s Mailbox, please refer to the following:

The email service you are using may be experiencing temporary issues, preventing immediate receipt of the confirmation message. Please wait a while and check again later. Do not resend duplicate messages within a short period. Thank you for your understanding. If you still do not receive the confirmation email, your email address may have been entered incorrectly or your settings may be blocking the message.

We recommend verifying your information and resending your message to the Director-General’s Mailbox. Due to the widespread use of spam filters by many email servers, the confirmation email may be mistakenly identified as spam or have its confirmation link removed. If you are using a web-based email service (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo, etc.), please check your spam or junk mail folder. If the confirmation email is found there, mark it as “Not Spam” or move it to your inbox to ensure proper delivery of future messages. Alternatively, you may contact your email administrator to add our sender address to your whitelist to prevent from being blocked.

Note: npa3@npa.gov.tw is the system-generated sender address used by the Director-General’s Mailbox. Please do not reply directly to this email.
