Chief of Police Comes to Epidemic Prevention Frontline for Protecting Public Health
In response to the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), Chen Ja-chin, Director-General of National Police Agency (NPA), cooperated with the central government to set up a command center in NPA. And he visited Aviation Police Bureau, the First, Fourth, Fifth Corps of Special Police and several police departments in person to console the police who stand on the front line for fighting the epidemics.
The police have assisted the competent authority in conducting individuals to be in home isolation and quarantine work, and have seized 13 people for breach of relevant regulations. In addition, all police agencies formed task forces so as to seek the missing persons who should be in home isolation or quarantine in the shortest time.
Chen Ja-chin has instructed all police agencies to carry out border epidemic prevention, home isolation, quarantine visits, and security maintenance work for quarantine offices. Director-General Chen also stated that the police have confidence in implementing the epidemic prevention work which Premier of Executive Yuan seen as a combat.
